Lord Hague of Richmond

William Hague was Member of Parliament for Richmond (Yorkshire) between 1989 and 2015, serving as Leader of the Conservative Party and Leader of the Opposition between 1997 and 2001. He had been Secretary of State for Wales between 1995 and 1997 and later served as Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs (2010-2014) and Leader of the House of Commons (2014-2015). He was ennobled in 2015 and his Politeia publications include Safeguarding Sovereignty: A Bill for UK Constitutional Rights in the EU (2010) and A Free Schools Future (2000).
