Lord Strathclyde

Lord Strathclyde served as Leader of the House of Lords between 2010 and 2013, having previously been Leader of the Opposition in the House of Lords (1998-2010), Opposition Chief Whip (1997-8) and Government Chief Whip (1994-97), after holding a variety of ministerial roles between 1988 and 1997. For Politeia he was author of Working in Harness: Parliamentary Government and the Role of the Lords (2005).
