Peter Birch Sørensen is a Professor of Economics at the University of Copenhagen and an International Research Fellow at the Oxford University Centre for Business Taxation, the Tax Administration Research Centre at Exeter University and the Norwegian Center for Taxation in Bergen. He is a former Director of Denmark’s Economic Policy Research Unit (1998-2005) and has been a consultant on tax policy to the International Monetary Fund and OECD as well as to several national governments. He writes on tax, social insurance and labour market reform and was co-author for Politeia of Poverty or Prosperity: What Tax is Best for a Flourishing Economy? (2010) and  Working to Account? Social Security Without Dependency (2008).
