Kent Matthews is the Sir Julian Hodge Professor of Banking and Finance at Cardiff University. His interests include macroeconomic modelling, monetary and credit influences on the economy and money and banking deregulation in developing economies. He publishes on bank competitiveness and performance covering the UK, GCC, Malaysia, China and Jamaica bank markets. His Politeia publications include Banking on Recovery: Towards an accountable, stable financial sector (2016).
