Professor John Howson

John Howson is a visiting professor at Oxford Brookes University and Visiting Senior Research Fellow at Oxford University's Department of Education, with particular expertise in the labour market for teachers. The chairman of TeachVac, he also has expertise in the UK justice system and has been a Liberal Democrat Oxfordshire County Councillor since 2013. For Politeia he has co-authored Magistrates Work! Restoring Local Justice (2014) and Teachers Matter: Recruitment, Employment and Retention at Home and Abroad (2009).
