Professor David Howarth

David Howarth is Professor of Law and Public Policy and a Fellow of Clare College, Cambridge. A former leader of Cambridge City Council, he was Liberal Democrat Member of Parliament for Cambridge between 2005 and 2010, serving as his party's Shadow Secretary of State for Justice (2007-2010) and Shadow Solicitor General (2006-2007). His Politeia publications include Triggering Article 50, Courts, Government and Parliament (2017) and Magistrates Work! Restoring Local Justice (2014).
